MFR MEDICAL RADIOFREQUENCY

IMEBA® MEDICAL RADIOFREQUENCY

What is medical radiofrequency?
Radiofrequency consists of the application of high-frequency electromagnetic waves on the skin which causes the controlled heating of the different layers of the dermis, which favours: The formation of new collagen. Lymphatic drainage. Circulation of the skin and subcutaneous tissue.

What is radiofrequency and what are its benefits?
Therefore, the main benefit of radiofrequency is the rejuvenating effect it achieves by triggering cell renewal. By activating the creation of collagen and elastin, it prevents premature ageing and erases the signs of ageing in the skin.

How many radiofrequency sessions are needed to see results?
The number of radiofrequency sessions needed to see results will depend on the desired effects. To eliminate flaccidity, eliminate cellulite and reduce localised fat, between 6 and 8 radiofrequency sessions are recommended.

What to do after a radiofrequency session?
Do not expose to heat sources or sunlight for the first 24-48 hours. Follow the recommendations of the medical expert regarding the application of creams immediately after the end of the treatment. It's normal for some redness to appear during the first hours after the session.

Does radiofrequency hurt?
Radiofrequency is an analgesic procedure that aims to produce heat in the affected tissue to reduce or eliminate pain. This technique has been used in the Pain Unit for several years, but has been refined over the last decade, especially in terms of its effectiveness and safety.

ADVANTAGES OF RADIOFREQUENCY
Radiofrequency is one of the most successful treatments in aesthetic medicine, due to the numerous and notable advantages it offers patients. Firstly, it is easy and quick to apply.
The various radiofrequency treatments we use are performed without anaesthesia, so that the patient can return to their daily routine immediately.
Radiofrequency treatment also has great practical advantages. It stimulates the creation of new collagen to tighten the skin. It also promotes circulation of the skin and subcutaneous tissue.
The visual effects of radiofrequency are highly valued by patients who appreciate a smoother and rejuvenated skin.
Another advantage of the radiofrequency we offer is that it's compatible with other treatments. Our aesthetic doctors will be able to suggest the best treatments to combat cellulite and improve skin flaccidity, which you can take advantage of together with radiofrequency, for more noticeable and long-lasting results.

What's the treatment like?
This technique is based on heating the tissue to an external temperature of between 45-55 degrees Celsius. The tissue heating induced by radiofrequency produces several effects:

Heating of fatty tissue: The temperature stimulates the lymphatic and arteriovenous system and improves the metabolism of the fatty tissue which induces improvement in cellulite problems.
Skin contraction: Controlled heat can produce an immediate contraction of tissue structures at the level of the dermis and fibrous septa of the hypodermis.
Collagen synthesis: The so-called neocollagenesis or collagen synthesis is produced by the release of HSP molecules (Heat Shock Proteins). These heat shock proteins are produced when there is an increase in temperature in the tissues and induce tissue repair with the generation of new collagen.
