Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating that is usually located in the armpits, palms of the hands and soles of the feet. It can sometimes occur in other areas of the body such as the head and face.
Hypersweating treatment is the only non-surgical solution to temporarily eliminate overactive sweat glands that significantly reduces sweating in the treated area, such as the armpits.
It is a well-tolerated, safe and highly effective treatment that improves the patient's quality of life.
After taking a thorough medical history to determine whether or not treatment for hyperhidrosis is indicated, a test is performed to delimit the area of sweating.
Microinjections are then administered into the defined area using very fine needles.
The patient can immediately return to normal life.
It has been scientifically proven that about 90% of patients sweat much less or not at all after a single session.
The decrease in sweating begins to be noticed after two or three days in a progressive manner and can last between four months and a year, depending on the particular characteristics of each case.
In the case of axillary hypersweating, the average duration of effects is about seven months.
It's a treatment that doesn't require anaesthesia. The needles used are very fine and the treatment is virtually painless.
In most cases, patients usually have this treatment once a year, when the heat starts (from May onwards) and the effect lasts until November, to be repeated again when the heat returns.
For more severe cases, the treatment can be repeated up to three times a year.
In the case of excess sweating, the treatment is very simple, quick, practically painless and is carried out in a single session of about 30 minutes.
The injections are virtually painless, so the patient can return to normal activities immediately after the procedure.
It's recommended not to do intense physical exercise and not to use saunas or hot baths for two hours after the treatment.
There is a small risk of mild flu-like symptoms that usually disappear within a few days. You may also experience mild pain at the injection sites.
The average duration of effects in excess sweating is about seven months, but can last up to a year, depending on the particular characteristics of each case.
