The so-called nanofat is a novel technique derived from lipofilling that corrects and lightens pigmented dark circles under the eyes. It's a form of fat grafting to regenerate and revitalise the skin. It consists of the injection of stem cells, which are obtained from the fat extracted by means of a small liposuction, which is then treated to emulsify it, eliminate the cells and concentrate the part of the stroma, rich in stem cells and with a great stimulating and regenerating capacity. This emulsion isn't used to give volume, but to repair tissues atrophied by ageing, to improve fine wrinkles, to correct imperfections and irregularities and to treat the dark pigmentation that can be seen in some people. These cells are used to smooth and correct wrinkles after the pigmentation of the skin, eliminating dark circles under the eyes.

The purpose of nanofat is to be able to inject, in an isolated way, only these stem cells with the aim of regenerating and recovering those tissues that have aged and degenerated over the years. It is a treatment that does not arise with the idea of providing volume like other fat grafts, but rather to revitalise the tissues. In fact, with the nanofat technique, adipocytes (fat cells) are not injected, but are carefully removed from the emulsion to be injected.
