The fat and skin excess in the neck or jowl area is a problem that leads to a notorious ageing look, for its correction a jowl surgery can be performed to remove that excess skin.

This treatment is recommended in cases in which there's a localised fat accumulation and the skin quality in the neck area is good. The surgery is performed through small incisions, through these a cannula is introduced to extract the excess fat, achieving a remodeling of the area. Depending on the extension of the area to be treated either local anaesthesia or sedation will be aplied.

In the majority of cases, the postoperative care is ambulatory and the initial discomfort is perfectly controllable with a light painkiller. This procedure leaves barely visible scars, given that the cannulas through which the fat is extracted are very fine. The results are very effective.
